I need help turning this into a paper with passé compose and imparfait. Could someone help me with this? Please!
In the July of 2012 my boyfriend and I drove to New York City. We went because my boyfriend, Michael, had a conference for work so we took a vacation also.
We left St. Louis on July 5th, 2012.
We drove through Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, then got to New York on July 6th. The whole time the weather was hot. It was 1 degrees when we left St. Louis and around 95 degrees in New York City.
We entered New York over the George Washington Bridge.
We stayed at Hotel Pennsylvania in downtown Manhattan. This is the cheapest hotel you will find in New York City.
We seen many land marks. Including the Empire State Building, Grand Central Station, Chrysler Building.
We walked everywhere we went. Along the way, every Irish bar we walked past we went in and had a Guinness beer and a shot of Jameson. The people were nice and we mad friends at many of the bars.
We visited Central Park. The park is huge. We walked for hours and did not cover it all. This is a picture of a Shakespeare statue. The park is very interesting.
We rode the Staten Island Ferry at night and got to have dinner at the terminal. We had steak and pasta. The food was delicious.
On our last night there we took the subway to Brooklyn and ate pizza at Grimaldi’s Pizza under the bridge. The pizza was delicious. Then we walked back across the Brooklyn Bridge at night.
Looking at Manhattan at night from the bridge was amazing.
The best thing about New York City was the culture. People were different everywhere you turned. There were professionals, farfelus, hardworking, eccentric
We left New York on July 11th.
We had a great time there and back except for the flat tire we got on the way back. If I ever went back I could love to go to Rockefeller Center and see a Broadway Show.
I highly recommend for everyone to go to New York City at least once.

Nous avons marche nous sommes alles partout. Tout en marchant nous nous arretions dans chaque barre irlandaise et buvions une biere de Guinness et un tir de Jameson. Les personnes etaient gentilles et nous avons fait des amis aux beaucoup de les barres.
Nous avons vistie le Central Park. Le parc est enorme. Nous avons marche pendant beaucoup d’heures et ne l’avons pas vu tout. C’est une photo d’une statue de Shakespeare. Le parc est tres interessant.
Nous sommes montes Staten Isle Ferry la nuit et on a pu avoir un diner sur le terminal. Nous avons pris le steak le terminal. Nous avons pris le steak et les pates. La nourriture etatit delicieuse.
Notre nuit derniere la nous sommes montes le souterrain a Brooklyn et avons mange de la pizza a la pizza de Grimaldi sous le pont. La pizza etait delicieuse. Apres mangeant nous avons marche de retour a travers le pont de Brooklyn la nuit. Il etait beau!
La meilleure chose au sujet de New York City etait la culture. Les gens etatient differents vous ont tourney partout. Il etaient des professionnels, farfelus, assidus, et excentrique.
Nous avons quitte New York City sure l’onzieme juillet.
Nous avons eu un grand temps a New York City. Mais si je retournais jamais je pouvrais aimer aller au Rockefeller Center et voir a Broadway Show.
Je recommande de voir New York City.

The French utilization of ultimate and Pluperfect is very similar to that in English, British English anyway. If you are American it is probably not quite so obvious. Look, i’ll take your French examples however deal with them as English : after we had been for a walk, we went to the theatre. Going for a walk and going to the theatre were both moves in the past, however going for a stroll was more in the past. You finished your stroll before you went to the theatre, so you employ Pluperfect. When I acquired house, my brother was once nonetheless working. [Lorsque or quand: doesn’t matter] These are two overlapping moves: your brother used to be already working, you came house, he continued working. So no Pluperfect there. Just the Imparfait for the continuation of your brother’s undertaking, and the Parfait to your single action of coming residence.
