Not necessarily as your surfing a wave but as your sitting there waiting for the next one.

I do, all the time…in my head. Me, and the music in my head and the sounds of the waves…that is a prefect combination.
Why would anybody want to change the sounds from that symphony with electronic sounds?
I considered getting a waterproof mp3 so that I could listen to my tunes in the water, but I realised that music is very distracting. I came up with a couple things that eventually made me decide not to get one : – the sound of the waves. I love it
– distractions from seeing a perfect wave coming
-distractions from seeing other hazards(shark, other surfers etc)
-not being able to hear if somebody was calling me
Maybe, if that calmed me and made me feel more comfortable, but for some people, listening to music distracts them, and you need to be aware of your surroundings while surfing…
