Its not too big for shrimp .Rather a waste of a large tank just for shrimp but i like Cherry shrimp .
Edit…If you have lots of plants and hiding spaces they should be ok i have 30 at the last count Red cherry shrimp in 3 gallons with fish and so far there all there but my tank is heavily planted.
You really don’t need one that big, but it is just fine.
