is "barely" touching…touching at all?

Someone tell me if i were to “barely” touch something, would that be touching, or almost touching?

  • Well in a matter of speaking “barely” is an adjective not a noun. So if you take “barely” out you are just touching.

  • You would still be touching it, but just very softly
