Is it bad to to buy your computer parts seperately?

I am building my PC and I am trying to get it as soon as possible. My build is expensive so it will take a while for me to get all the parts at once unfortunately. Is it bad to buy all my parts overtime? let me know some of your stories or thoughts thanks!

there’s nothing wrong with it..just make sure the components are compatible with each other as newer one’s may not work with older one’s though i dont see a problem unless the components have over 1 or 2 year gap between them…

storage maybe a problem as parts need to be carefully stored other than that its fine,,,,,many do it..they buy as they find parts on sale or on discount and later assemble

I think its pretty good.Assembled my own cpu and im totally satisfied.Just ensure that all the parts are compatible with each other.SATA,PATA won’t be a problem coz nowadays PATA is hardly available.Check the frequency of your RAM and Processor and make sure they are same for best performance and about that motherboard and processor, just ensure that they are of same architecture 64 or 32bit.Most importantly check the socket type of your Motherboard and Processor for instance, LGA1155 will be compatible with LGA1155 only.

If you have a cpu, motherboard, ram, hard drive + monitor, keyboard, mouse and an operating system – you can get the computer running.

Then, you can upgrade your computer whenever you want eg extra graphics card and stuff. But make sure you plan how you are going to upgade your pc and that the parts you buy now will be compatible with the parts you want to buy later. So, by all means, if you have the above mentioned parts, you can run your pc now and then upgrade it whenever you want and it will work absolutely fine.
