Is it too drastic? (in your opinion)?

So, i just started this special program, which is on a subject that i’m pretty passionate about (its basically just an extra class out of school- you can use it for your school grades etc). Me and my friend (lets call her kate) are in it together, and we don’t know anyone else yet. And one of the assessment tasks this term is a practical report.

But the day we do the prac clashed with this excursion for outdoor ed that i was going on. And I had to choose between dropping the entire outdorr ed class just so i could do this practical or not doing the practical and leaving kate to do it by herself, risking hers and my grade for this one assessment item. (there are 8 altogether).

I decided to do the excursion because it will be really fun and because if i don’t attend the prac, i can still find out what happened and write the report, and not fail. and its only one out of the 8 assessments altogether. So i thought that was fair. And i had friends in outdorr ed, who weren;t going on this excursion if i didnt and i didnt want to deny them any fun!

but anyway, now Kate is really angry at me for leaving her. I said i would find her a friend to do the prac with. She’s going to be fine! its me i’ve got to worry about!
but anyway, i just want to know if you guys think ive made the right decision? Do you think kate is wrong for expecting me to drop an entire class just for one lesson?
thanks a million million trillion xoxo
