Is the AP Biology exam necessary?

I am currently a Junior who is interested in studying Biology in University. Next year I plan to take AP Biology; however, I was wondering how much importance is placed on taking the AP exam. My issue is that I want to take one last Biology course in High School before devoting myself to a year degree in University. Other than Freshman Bio, there are no other class options for students to take other than AP. I don’t want to enter College with a Biology credit, I would prefer to start from scratch. I just wanted to take a class that would provide me with background information. I wasn’t sure if Colleges are expecting you to take the AP test if you take the class. Would it be considered a ‘red flag’ to a University if you choose to not take the exam?

  • You’d still be able to take the class in college if you really want to. Anyway, if you get you acceptance letters in April, then they won’t consider the exam in the application because they can’t.

  • Being “hard” is tremendously subjective. the ultimate component to do is to take a prepare attempt and score your self. Are you getting the grade which you particularly prefer? If no longer, you will desire to probable start off examining. I have been given a and did no longer think of it became too hard, yet i’m now a bio considerable in college and that i consistently extremely beloved bio. in case you be taught the fabric you will desire to be fantastic on the attempt… yet that consistently is going with maximum APs.
