Is there a product that will remove burned-on grease from the bottom of a skillet?

Scouring with abrasives doesn’t help.

  • Sprinkle the skillet with baking soda.

Add a generous squirt of dish washing liquid. (Dawn, Ajax, Palmolive, any brand is fine.)

Fill the skillet with water, and mix well.

Let that sit at least hours (or even overnight).

The pan should clean right up.

  • Fill the skillet with ice until it’s about half melted them scour out with a plastic scrubbie. If that doesn’t work put about an inch or two of water in it and bring it to a boil. Take it off the heat and sprinkle powdered dishwasher detergent in it and let it set for several hours. I hope that helps.
