I installed a vista update and on system restart it won’t boot. I have done the repair procedure times and I still get an error. I already looked up the error and it has to do with the update. My question is, is there a way to roll back a vista update without booting into vista? It won’t boot in any modes, I can hook it up as a slave to another computer if I need too, but is there any programs or bootable images i can burn onto a disc to roll back the update? Thanks.

No.
Vista must be updated from within XP. So, re-install XP, and then, re-do the upgrade to Vista.
TIP: To stop Vista from doing Windows Updates, disconnect from the web before you start, and un-check any relevant check boxes during the upgrade install.
