  • Physical change.

because only the distance between the molecule changes, i.e. a physical property. The inter-molecular distance decreases because water receives heat energy, and then they start to bond with each other and create an attraction. From here, the volume decreases etc.

However, the molecular properties do not change, i.e. it is always H20 in liquid or ice form….so it is not chemical change.

    =)

  • It’s a physical Change because you still have water, just in a different form.

  • i would imagine it is a physical change because the structure of water stays the same. It just changes from a solid > liquid > gas all physical changes.

  • physical- a change in form is physical because it still has the same properties.

the water just went from solid to liquid form. It’s still H2O. It didn’t react with anything.

  • It’s physical. It can go back to being a liquid. Chemical changes can’t be undone because they’ve been turned into something else.

  • physical change!! a chemical change would be H2O reacting w/ another chemical to create a brand new substance

  • I’ll go for an easy two points. Physical

  • Physical.

Ice has the same chemical formula that liquid water has.

  • Physical (things that change from solids to liqiuds to gases are all physical changes)

  • Physical….the chemical composition does not change.
