I have a background in various martial arts and have taught a little BJJ. I have trained some Krav Maga but not a whole lot. I would like to know at what rank in Krav Maga would I be able to teach through the IKMF? How long would it take me to get to the rank of E1? In general, how long does each rank take training 2-3 hours or so per week?

I wasn’t at a IKMF school, but the one I went to would take about seven or eight months to make the second rank for the average person. I wasn’t there for too long due to injuries and moving, but from what I understood it would take close to a year or so at about 2 or 3 hours a week to gain ranks. Keeping in mind that Krav Maga is supposed to be learned quickly.
