My 11 year old daughter is 4 feet and 2 inches, an wears age 6-7 and 7-8 size clothes. She wears size 13 shoes. She is very active and both her parents are average. Her brother is about average. I have seen a GP and he said she is fine, but she has recently become quite unhappy.
I know there is nothing she can do, but should I contact my GP again?

Yes, you should visit your GP again and insist she is referred to a specialist. It is important you ascertain that that is nothing seriously wrong with her and see what he can do to help. I’m not surprised she is unhappy with her height and you should do your best for her.

I don’t consider her particularly short for 11. My son was that height (and shoe size) and while he was the smallest in the year, it wasn’t by much. _Someone_ has to be the smallest.

when I was 11 I was about the same size and i’m healthy but if she has become unhappy talk to her more to more stuff with her try and figure out whats causing it maybe kids are making fun of her for being small i don’t know but shes healthy so i would say just figure out whats upsetting her

If you are worried that she has depression leading to an eating disorder you should definitely see her GP again. It could also be hormonal imbalance affecting her mood swings.
