My dad bought alcohol breath detectors and they came in the post today. What is the point of having them?
He never drinks to get intoxicated or anything.

You use them before driving to make sure you’re legal to drive.
You mean breathalyzers? Maybe to see when he or you or your siblings are ok to drive. I don’t know. In college a kid in my dorm had one and we used to use it to see how drunk we were just for shits but I doubt thats what he is using it for.
I bet they’re not for him, they’re for you/your siblings. He has a suspicion that his kids have been drinking, this way he can bust you when you come home some night. (Maybe you don’t drink at all, but this way he’ll know.)
they are either for him or when you or maybe one of your sibilings (if you have any) have drank and he wants to know….be careful.
