  • Call around to vets in your area and see if anyone can work out a payment plan with you. There could be anything wrong with this dog from allergies, fleas, mange, etc. etc., and only a vet can tell you what the appropriate treatment and diagnosis will be. It sounds like at the very least your dog needs oral antibiotics and a topical cream/spray to get this under control. I don’t know why owners think that there’s some magical solution to every malady that can be administered at home, but there isn’t. If you had sores all over your body and were pulling out your hair, wouldn’t you go to a doctor?

  • he may have fleas.

symptomns: alot of scratching, biting at the fur, rolling and shaking his body (like when a dog gets out of a lake).

Unfortunately i would say that if you cannot afford the vets then you shouldn’t really have a dog. one day he could be seriously injured and a vet is not going to do surgeries/medicene/treatment for free.

also you need to be paying for multiple vaxinations (£1 each per year)

worming and flea treatment :/ i think you may have bought a pet that you cannot really afford 🙁 hope this is some help

also try google images for mange and then fleas so you can see if your dog has either of the symptoms

  • If you cannot afford medical care you need to let your dog go to someone who can. That is called neglect then you let your dog suffer. No matter what the circumstance is…

Probably has fleas or severe dry skin. But only a vet can do tests and find out exactly what he has.

  • it can be anything from an infection to allergies, if you can’t afford the vet bills try to get someone to take him that can or you can apply for care credit. it is used strictly for medical expenses. in the mean time try an oatmeal bath and some cold compresses to help relieve some of the itchiness. it will not go away until you can determine the cause of it. and also switch to a grain free food

  • If you broke your leg would you like it if your partner refused you medical treatment? Take the poor dog to the vet, search for low cost animal clinics in your area. If you won’t do that then rehome the poor thing. You don’t know what the cause is, it could be flea allergy, grass pollen allergy, an infection or mange.

  • Find a way to afford one and get him in right away. Why have a dog if you can’t provide it with what it needs?

If you can’t get the money together (obvioulsy you have internet. Don’t pay the bill and have it turned off. Eat ramen noodles for a month….c’mon!!) sign him over to a shelter or rescue. They can get the medical care he needs done right away.

Do not get more dogs! You can’t afford this one.

  • That needs to be checked out. One of the worst case scenarios would be mange. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mange

My advice is to find a vet that’s willing to make a payment plan with you. If not, find someone who can afford it to take the dog.

  • Make a solution of apple cider vinegar to 4 parts warm water. Rub it on the itchy spots and he will have immediate relief.

Then check his food and make sure it does not have any corn or corn by-products. If possible feed him a grain-free food like Canidae Pure Sky.

Chicken is also something to watch if your dog has food allergies.

  • Give the dog to someone to can afford proper care, loser.
