My girlfriends car won’t move in drive or reverse?

Granted the car has its problems its never done this. its a 1993 toyota paseo with 205xxx miles. Prior to this the transmission would randomly shift from 5th to 3rd and be stuck there. After that it would act as if it wanted to shift up but most of the time it wouldnt. But now out of no where it doesnt move in any gear.

Sounds like the trannys shot. Time to spend those rainy day pennies she’s been saving. If she hasn’t been saving, time to get a bicycle.
