I have a hamster named Stella and I have had her for 9 months…this morning I woke up to her biting really hard at the top of her 20 gallon aquarium…she has plenty of chews so I dont know why she was doing that. So anyways when I went to go see her I checked her food bowl and she hadn’t eaten her oxbow pellets at all (just stored them all in one spot). I feed her 10 of those with some seed mix to keep her food interesting. Ok so I made a mushed up food with the oxbow and hot water and she ate that all by the time I got home from school. I also just gave her more of the mushed stuff and she ate some of it. She is active and completely normal…she has no dirty bottom and seems like she has been drinking water. Her teeth are not too long and not too short. When I hand her an oxbow pellet she just throws it away from her but when I hand her a papaya treat she eats it all…i dont really know what im asking you..maybe just if she is okay? Is that mushed food okay to give to her tonight for food or does it take out some of the nutrition? Do you think she just got sick of the pellets because im going to buy a different brand tomorrow so she will eat…Im just really worried! Do you think shes okay and what do you think I should do?
