One of the baby rabbits are out of their nest?

My rabbit has made a nest for her litter of 4 and one of the kits is in another corner of the cage. Its still alive and moving and it has hay over it to cover it just like the others

Is this ok?

  • It fine rabbits are blind when they are born. Although I would put it back with the other 3 babies as they use body heat to keep themselves warm. (It’s ok to handle them the mother won’t reject them that is just a myth but try do this with out the mother seeing to prevent stress:) )

  • You can move the baby back to the others if you would like. It can be easy for the babies to slip through the wires so they should really be in the nest box together.

  • It’s natural… baby rabbits should be like this for the first few days

  • Congrats and yes its fine they will be like this for the first few days of their life
