Personal loan: Do's and Don't?

1.) Is there a loan center (online or a brick & mortar) that is generally considered a “best place” when getting a personal loan? If so, where?

2.) If I were to go to my bank (US BANK) and get a loan for $4,0, would they DENY me if I already had $3,0 in my savings account with them? Will they ask about it, or is that not pertinent when applying for a personal getting a loan?

3.) What’s the most important thing or two to be sure of before getting a personal loan?

Thanks, guys.

  • Personal loans are not easy to get, even if you have exceptional credit.

If you have $3K on deposit at US Bank, they are more likely to extend a personal loan to you. They can confirm that you have those assets.

  • The terms of any personal loan will always be dictated by your credit rating/score and income. If both of those are good, then go to your credit union or bank and request a loan.

If you have poor credit, expect bad terms regardless of where you go.

  • Make sure you have good rating. But still, in today’s economy, it might be tough getting a loan.
