Plants/Flowers that are easy + fast to grow? (in England)?

I’m a photography student and our title for this year assignment is ‘Journey’ every else in my class seems to be doing a same old ‘physical journey’ but i want to do something different, i want to take pictures of growing plant/flowers, from start to full grow. but i dont know a lot about gardening and all these flowers planting stuff. So can someone name me some fast and easy growing plants or flowers please, i prefer more of flowers but plants would be fine too. I live in England so the weather is cold and wet most of the time. If you could give me tips on planting would be great and the length of growing time too.

Thanks so much

  • Wrong time of year for gardening and flowers and most plants be they house plants or garden flowers take at least days to mature. I would suggest you start with some kind of bean because they sprout quickly and quite dramatically and I also suggest you take or six seeds to start with and photograph them several times a day in different light conditions so you can show how they react to changes in the environment. If you can set up a camera for time lapse during the first days of germination and sprouting you should get some good stuff.

  • A mountain climbing rose bush planted in mushroom compost could do the trick. that is going to look very quite by using your fence & butterflies like them. Mushroom compost works like magic, your flora will start & it does not scent. % nicely prevalent flora from a physically powerful nursery. in case you commence with rather better flora you will possibly be able to might desire to spend slightly greater for them, however the time you will save waiting for them to develop is somewhat worth it! there’s a bush referred to as “The Butterfly Bush” that is purplish & perennial. Hummingbirds like a number of form of “trumpet formed” flower. they have long beaks which they use to dip into the flower the place the nectar is. there are a number of flora to % between.
