PNC OverDraft – student account?

The other day, I got a letter in the mail. That says I was charged and overdraft fee of $36 due to insufficient funds. It was a charge from amazon for something that I happened to not have ordered intentionally. Luckily, I was able to call amazon and get it my money refunded, they said that it would be refunded within 1-2 days. If it is refunded, will that fee go away? Also, I had chase as my main bank for a while, they used to give 3 “grace periods” every sixth months. Is P.N.C like that? If so, how many times will they do it for you? Also, how long will it take before they charge me again for not having the money paid for the overdraft fees?

– I’m so ****** I’m 15, money doesn’t just grow on trees, especially for me.

  • You probably will owe the overdraft fee anyway–but the only way to know is to contact Chase and ask them if they will “forgive” one fee. Fees just don’t “go away.” You overdrew your account–even if it wasn’t intentional–and they may not debit that fee. But the only way to know is to ask them.
