Pontiac Grand Prix battery terminals stripped?

My Grand Prix just recently got a subwoofer upgrade. The problem started because I wired the positive to the thread of the positive terminal. This caused the bolt to enter the battery thread at an angle. The terminal on the harness from the car is completely stopped but not sure about the thread in the battery. My question is will peplacing the terminal bolt solve my problem or will I have to get another battery? I have another so idc

I just removed and reattachment my battery cables. Both of them started off crooked so I stopped. After a few tries, I just kept going and they tightened up perfectly. I never could get them to start perfectly perpendicular. I just had to go with it.

Try to get a universal adapter for the power cables that bolt on the lil metal base, or get a battery that has the poles and just put an adapter on it, u can get them at auto zone.

Most likely it will mess up both the bolt & hole in the battery. I suggest you replace both & remove the wire from the bolt sicne there isnt much there anyway & wire it somewhere else
