Have a bunch of silver coins in presentation cases from Royal Mail (produced in 23-04) and was wondering how much they were worth. Also if it is worth selling them on ebay or just having them melted down.
Penny Black
Halfpenny Red
Five Pounds Orange
Penny Lilac
‘Jubilee’ Shilling
Edward VII Penny
George V PUC Pound
George V British Empire Exhibition Penny
Thank you.

Well, I guess you could keep it for investment. However, it is best if you can get a quote. It is very hard to tell just by the names, I would say we need to take a physical look at it to see damages, quality, and stuff like that.

Are they all ‘commerative’ coins (like the Penny Black). I cannot imagine there is any value in the coin as a collector’s item so you are left with the intrinsic value. Are they basically Crowns? iF so I assume they are 1 oz of 99.9% silver. The silver content is worth about £21.
You see them advertised on Ebay for a lot more (although they probably don’t sell except to mugs). I would try selling them for slightly more than £21 you never know, or first check with a reputable coin dealer.
