Question for married/to be married people….?

We have been together 3 1/2 years and im still waiting

im in no rush but id like to think that one day my partner will marry me

and we have a child

I was with my boyfriend for about 7 months before he proposed. He’d been planning it and started arranging it after 3 months! We get married in 6 weeks, exactly a year after his proposal – and I can’t wait!!

As for children, that has to be a big NO for us. I’ve never wanted children, I didn’t even pretend with dolls and stuff when I was a kid. I just used to climb trees, get muddy and play with the dog lol! He’d never really thought about it, but after the subject was raised (about 4 months before we got engaged, as I wanted him to be aware of my stand on the matter before the relationship progressed past ‘the point of no return’!) he had a serious think about it, talked about it lots and then realised that he wasn’t that bothered. A second reason for this, is the fact that the world is so bad today and is only going to get worse. Even if our kid grew into a wonderfully behaved little person that didn’t take on the awful traits of 99% of todays kids, I wouldn’t want to subject it to all the hatred and hurt that exists now.

My hubbie and I had been together just over five years before he proposed married seven months later and we have been married for over two years now. I have no kids he has three, I do however want a dog!!

However before we got married I had already moved abroad with him which I think is a bigger commitment the wedding just formalised it.

It it different for everyone, I know someone who was engaged for over ten years, when they finally got married they were divorced within two years! My mum on the other hand has been married to my stepdad for over twenty years and they met when I was four and were married the year I was six so they didn’t have a long engagement at all.

I dated a guy for 3 years while we were at school together…we were from different parts of the country and he kept dragging his feet by not letting me know whether I could make plans on my own for after school or with him. He drug his feet up until this past Christmas, when I finally put an end to all of it (school was over in Feb.) Good thing that is the way that it all played out. I started dating a guy from home and he was everything and then that I could have imagined in a man. He proposed after only 2 months (in April) and we are getting married in Feb. Neither of us have kids and we are 26.

We knew each other for about 4 years, then started dating about 5 months before living together, then 3 months after that we were engaged. So we dated for about 8 months before getting engaged, we had the wedding 6 months later. Neither of us had kids, but we did get pregnant right after the wedding with our first.

I was 22 and my husband was 23 when he proposed. We had been dating sonce I was 16 and he was 17. I was one month pregnant at the time, but that was not the reason we got married. My husband bought the ring two years before he actually asked, and neither of us knew about the pregnancy. We found out a couple days later that I was pregnant. We got married, and are still very happy.

I was 19 and he was 21. We were together for 10 months when he proposed and we got married 11 months after that. We had our 1st child, a son, 8 days after our 4yr wedding anniversary and then 24 months later had a daughter…we plan to have one more baby once they are 5 and 3! Good Luck!

So I was 20 and he was 22 when we were married and we bought a dog our first year of marriage. She turned 6 on June 22nd 🙂

and he was my first boyfriend, we were both virgins when we got married and had the whole big white dress and catholic church ceremony.

We were together for 6 months before he proposed (about time too!) We married three months later and now have 3 lovely children.

My husband and I were together for almost 7 years before he proposed (we were high school sweethearts) We didn’t have any kids before he proposed or before the wedding.
