Remote wire/power terminal. ok to leave bridged?

My amp wasn’t receiving power. After a little trouble shooting I discovered that it wasn’t getting a signal from the remote wire. I bridged the remote terminal and the power terminal and instantly got power. The amp won’t shut off now which I expected. How bad is it for any and all components (or anything else, for that matter) to leave these terminals bridged so I have power?
