Should I plah college football? Help!?

Im going to a D1 school and not sure if I should try to walk on. I was all conference wide reciever at my school and the fastest at my school. I just started playing 2 years ago and was naturally talented I dont think I love the game tho but many suggested that I need to play at the next level. Im 5’7 179 pounds 4.4 speed and just think it would prevent me from performing well in school. also if I will play I have to start lifting hard and training hard right now during the summer. Should I pursue college football? I dont want to be practice meat. I need motivation to pursue it or reasons why I shouldnt. My main goal is to become a doctor or pharmacist. My grades are good.

  • Your motivation should come from inside yourself.. If you don’t have the motivation there then no one here is gonna motivate you…. You should do what you want to do with your life and not what others want you to do…. You should make your own decisions instead of having complete strangers, that have no clue about you, deciding your future… Good luck…..

  • I consider the answers above. You are taking a staff like Alabama or Florida and put them against the Lions. The Lions would kill them. Look at it this fashion. Tim Tebow, Colt McCoy, J Russel, and plenty of other fine college avid gamers are struggling to make a NFL roster. If the highest guys are having a tough time making a roster (Troy Smith) then how would the opposite university players on that institution workforce face up in opposition to an NFL opponent. Im from Ohio, So Cleveland vs Ohio State. Cleveland would wipe the ground with O State.

  • Yes, I highly encourage you to try out, and become a walk-on, for your Division 1 College Football program this upcoming season.

Based on your height and weight, I believe that you will make a very good fit at the wide receiver position. You have the ideal size for a wide receiver in college football.

Remember, the best way for you to prove yourself is through actions, not words. My best advice for you is to work hard and perform very well in practice every day. In addition to lifting weights, what you need to do this (and every) summer is eat healthy, and exercise by either jogging or going for a long run every day. If you do these things, you will get faster, stronger, and into better shape, which will greatly improve your chances of making it as a walk-on for your Division 1 College Football team this upcoming season.

  • Do you what you think will benefit you in the future bro. With good grades anything is possible. Just work hard.
