Should I sell my car…Pontiac grand am gt..(Coolant & oil)?

I have a 2 dr pontiac grand am gt 22. It’s really sporty, has 20 in rims..It is leaking oil and coolant. I never have to put oil or coolant in it,,I guess it’s a really slow leak, but I can’t just leave it like that. I really don’t have the money to get it fixed. My car hasn’t overheated or anything, I just don’t want it to start….Is there anything I can do to the car before it overheats? I really don’t have the money…Any suggestions..I guess it’s the lower maifold gasket??

  • V6? A very common issue with this engine is a leaking lower intake manifold gasket. This typically costs between $5 to $8 to repair. About $3 parts, the rest is labor.

Something to try. Bars Leaks makes a product called Heavy Duty Head Gasket Fix. Sort of like radiator stop leak on steroids. Costs between $25 to $30. Can be found at most major automotive parts stores. Just follow the simple directions on the can. Best if you add the stuff directly to the radiator than to the coolant system expansion reservoir.
