I been researching about these flexable and rolable solar power panels that are easy to install. There designed for rooftops but as I understand they can be used inside someones house or apartment. My question is are they a good idea ? Could someone use them for an apartment ? And would a person get in trouble with the electric company for using them ?

If you want to use them you would need to hook them up to your main circuit breaker. To do this you need to have the Electric company approve of the apparatus you are installing, as you are modifying the Grid that they own. It costs a bit of money to have them inspect your work. There is no reason you cant use them to power things out side of the main circuit breaker. But to wire it into your home/apt you would need to get approval.
