Tatoos….I kinda want one. pros and cons?

I’ve always wanted tattoos, I think they’re really cool. I’ve been designing a sleeve recently, and I’m sure i want it, but what will it look like when i’m ? I know they’re permanent and it’s a serious decision, so none of that crap. :] what made you decide to get a tattoo? what are the pros and cons? and it doesn’t HAVE to mean something does it? I mean, your mom doesn’t have to die in order for you to get a tattoo.

  • no your tattoo does not need to have a meaning unless you want it to.

I got a tattoo on a whim and im happy with it because i got it with my sister and it was both our first time and it was an amazing experience and its addicting…im getting another tattoo in about a month. my tattoo doesn’t have a meaning just a fun memory.

well when people are at years old their skin sags; but you can think positively and show it off to your grand kids and tell them how you got one and the story behind it (i know its thinking wayyyyy ahead but its just a thought when your )

The pro of having a tattoo is having something that you absolutely love inked on your skin whether you show it off or not because it expresses you.

The con of having a tattoo: if you dont take care of it then it will get infected and some fading.

*if plan to get a tattoo go to a place that is legit even if its a bit costly because your getting a tattoo that is going to sterile you dont need to worry if needles are dirty and you get what you pay for. (im sure that you have heard this constantly but i just wanted to say it once more)

for my tattoo to keep it from fading i would put spf or whenever i was out in the sun. also use unscented lotion like aveeno lotion because its very soothing and penetrates your skin quickly. worked really well…dont use Vaseline its too slick and oil like substance.

    Hope this helps you.

I dont know who you are but im excited that your planning to get a tattoo =)

make sure your positive about how you feel about getting one.

  • I would get something that is meaningful to you – why? Because you are less likely to get bored or tired of it. I had wanted to get a tattoo for almost decades before I actually got one! I certainly wouldn’t advise waiting that long to anyone, but i was always afraid of not liking it years down the line. I was looking up some artwork for a project and came across a really awesome design and fell in love with it. I had it tacked up on my bulletin board for a few months and just decided I needed it inked on me permanently. Because of the size I was limited to where I could put it, so it just didn’t look like a random tattoo. Think about size and where you want to put it. You might want to consider putting it somewhere you can hide it, should your job have restrictions on body art. I have put mine in places where they can be easily hidden, or out in the open. (Back of neck, half sleeves, tops of my feet). If you take care of your tattoo, it will last a long time before needing to be retouched. If you always expose it to sun, go in the pool right after having it done, it can look like garbage in no time.

  • I have been told they fade and have to be redone periodically. That’s a nuisance. I am over and I dye my hair which you might want to do and on my hair dye packet it says not to use it if you have a tattoo, presumably you might be more prone to an allergic reaction. Please don’t get a tattoo which is visible as this might interfere with you’re getting a particular job you want. Just because you and your friends like it, it doesn’t mean everyone does. What if you meet someone with whom you would like to pursue a relationship and he will have nothing to do with someone with a tattoo. It could happen. What’s wrong with temporary ones.

  • mmmmm there cool depending on the person there on and what they are but they can get infected and fade trust me its not pretty. then again they look pretty good when there done right and in a good spot!
