Maybe you could inform us which leftie informed us that the funeral was costing £9 million before asking if they could stick to counting.
If I recall the figure quoted was also mentioned in the Daily Mail, The Daily Express and Daily Telegraph as well as the leftie media…..
But the point still remains – for what we, as taxpayers have paid for thatcher’s funeral we could have doubled the increase in basic job seekers allowance for 97,5 claimants.
Should this government be honouring a devise dead person – or assisting 97,5 people who are deciding if they should heat or eat?
Maybe it’s nothing to do with counting, but more to do with the prioritising of a shambolic chancellor in a shambolic government!!!
As for leftie’s counting – wouldn’t it be better to ask why we don’t have a chancellor who understands Macroeconomics?

of course, as the ‘powers that be’ refused to give any indication how much it was going to cost, before the event, you can’t really mock people for over estimating
maybe the higher rate was estimated using a better class of cheese and a better cut of ham, in the official sarnies.
I also, suspect that the cost of the armed forces and a lot of the police were not included (since you have to pay soldiers and on-duty cops, whether they are doing something for the good of society, or officiating at some witch’s parade)
