Thawing part of the pumpkin puree?

HELP!! I usually put one cup pumpkin puree in one cellulose bag, but I forgot to do that last night… I put ALL of them (around 8g I guess) in a plastic food container. I’m planing to use them for baking, but the problem is I usually bake in small amounts. I don’t want to use all of the puree in one go.
Can I leave them in the fridge the night before my baking, and in the morning dig out the amount I need, then put the rest back in my freezer again?

  • Place on cutting board and cover with a hot cloth to loosen turn upside down to release and cut it off with a freezer knife used for slicing frozen foods and place balance back in freezer. If you do not have the knife try a mallet/clever and do same
