Universal Orlando Resort with kids?

Hello, my husband, my 3 kids and I are headed to Universal Orlando tomorrow (in 2 hours actually…too excited to sleep) and will be returning on Saturday. We should be arriving at around 8:30AM. We’re planning on checking into out hotel and taking a quick power nap until around 10:30AM, have breakfast, and then heading to Universal Studios, where we’ll spend the day. We then plan to do Islands of Adventure on Friday, and then heading to both Saturday morning before leaving to check out the things on the top of our list once more before leaving. It’s a crazy schedule, but I think we’ll be able to get it done just fine. My husband and I have been to US and IoA before, but my kids were either too little or not born yet, so they don’t know what to expect and they are thrilled! They are 7, 5, and 4. This trip may sound hectic, but will be something special because 1) my husband is in the Navy and will be leaving for 8 months next week. 2) My son had open heart surgery 2 weeks ago. We’ve been given the OK for the trip, just no pools for 1 more month, but that’s fine. 3) Because my son was having OHS, we had to miss our other sons Kindergarten graduation, so this will also be his celebration. We have 3 special reasons for this trip, so it’s now or never. We have a big trip to WDW in July with my sister and parents to Disney’s Fort Wilderness, but my husband will be gone by then and we wanted to do something together before he leaves.

I have a few questions:

1- Since my 4 year old had open heart surgery, does Universal have something like Disney’s guest assistance card we can get for him?

2- Where are some good places to eat around the Orlando area that serve “kid friendly” foods?

3- What this should we not miss for sure?

4- Best kid spots?

Any other advice would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

Oh and We’ll be staying at the DoubleTree.

  • No, initially conventional won’t enable the little ones to purchase tickets. Being decrease than the age of 14 ability they like some supervision. in my view, i’m 19 and am petrified interior the park on my own, no longer to point letting a 13 year previous there. Its risky and p.c.. wallet are many times on the lurk for an hassle-free objective.
