VoIP Problems – Draytek Router?

At our London site we’re currently experiencing issues with our Draytek router rebooting every few hours. Since this particular router handles the VoIP connections, every telephone in the building is also going down which is causing a lot of people great frustration.

To try and resolve the problem, we have replaced the router 3 times believing that it was faulty, with no luck. We have also swapped over the power adapter, the network cables, the filters, upgraded the firmware and had the power supply to the building checked.

In addition we have asked the ISP to run a line check which has come back absolutely fine, and we have also had a BT engineer out to make sure that there are no problems with the cables coming into the building. We have also swapped every cables over to alternate ports / sockets and the problem still isn’t resolve.

It doesn’t look as though the router is physically losing power, more like it’s going through the reboot cycle, but we don’t understand why this could be happening? Since we’ve replaced the router and everything else connected to it, and confirmed that there are no power problems.

I’ve never come across this before, so wondered whether anybody else had any idea what might be going on here, because it’s becoming more frustrating by the day!
