  • I don’t think he was out of line at all. There sure is a lot of “debris cautions”. More so know than I can remember in the past and in the past they would show the debris or the crew picking it up. I have noticed they rarely do that anymore. I understand and actually agree that Nascar needs to make sure the track is clear but I have seen a couple races where TV spots debris and Nascar seems to wait on the caution for awhile. Can any one remember the last time we saw a race that went through the last round of pit stops and finished under green without incident? I’m not talking about wrecks here but seriously, I can’t seem to remember the last time final rounds of pits stops occurred and a debris caution came out if a wreck didn’t.

  • Tony is a racer. He does not back down to Nascar like all the other prettyboy drivers and was absolutely right in his comments. Everyone has seen the bogus cautions for a paperclip on the track. Last year I could swear every time Junior was about to go a lap down there was a debris caution. Can you name another racing series that has any or as many debris cautions? I have never seen Micheal Schumacher behind a pacecar for straw on the track at Monaco!

  • How many ppl would be screaming about Nascar not throwing a caution if Jr or Gordon or Stewart had ran over a piece of debris left on the track and had a major accident.

It doesn’t matter what Nascar does someone is going to think it’s always in favor of one team or the other. (I’m not saying it isn’t I just understand that it will never end despites Nascars best efforts).

  • Tony was way way way opver the line. There are conspiracy therorist who already believe what Tony said and now that a Driver has said it just adds fuel to the fire.

To relate debris cautions with the scripting of Pro Wrestling was the worst thing Tony could ever have done. I know he is frustrated with the way things have been going for him this season; but to blame NASCAR and fuel the conspiracy theories out there; he sounded like Rosie O’Donnell on “the View” .

I am waiting to see what NASCAR does to Tony regarding this situation. Tony’s tirad has devalued NASCAR’s creditability. There is an old saying that says “never bit the hand that feeds you.” Tony should think about that the next time he wants to question the integrity and credability of the Sport he participates in.

  • I totally agree with Tony. Being a Kenseth fan, everyone knows Matt sets his cars up for long runs, and it seemed every time Matt starts to pull away near the end of a race, suddenly there’s a caution. I lost allot of interest in NASCAR, and have almost quit watching the races. Till NASCAR has set rules governing debris cautions, I’ll watch the grass grow!!

  • I think Nascar should seriously examine how debris is getting on the track – sometimes the cautions are just too convenient. I suspect some of the debris is leaving the via the window opening of the car.

  • It depends on who you ask. I think he was out of lined for the comments that he made that compared NASCAR to WWE were everything is basically fixed because its not it just cant be… Then I think that he was okay to voice his opinions since thats what he can do on ihs talk show and voice how he thinks that their are questionable debris cautions. Also he got fined $10,0 for not meeting his obligation that the top 3 finishers meet with the media and give them an interview as they are obligated to do that. Even though he didn’t want to say something he would have regretted he maybe should of said one or two things and Juan Pablo is on the same path getting fined for the obscene gesture as a joke, yeah right.

  • Tony was right to speak out about the “no debris” “debris Caution” People say he’s whining but he’s right to make a deal of it. It’s cost him 2 probable wins already this season. The debris cautions late in the race have helped the Hendricks drivers. It looks like Nascar is wanting Jimmy to win another cup.

  • Tony Stewart has the right to express his opinion just like all the other drivers do. And as far as him not giving interviews after the race NASCAR should be proud of the fact that he was upset and knew he would get into trouble after giving an interview at that time. NASCAR is always telling the drivers to watch their language at interviews and on their car radios. Well Tony watched his language by not giving interviews at that time.

As an advide viewer it’s not hard to see that the powers that be in NASCAR do pick and choose when they are calling cautions. They need to straighten their acts up.

NASCAR is the fastest growing sport around and the officials need to treat it as such. Tighten your seat belts and good luck racing, KODAA peace

  • Tony was 1% correct. Its about time someone got the balls to say what needed to be said. These mysterious “debris” cautions are nothing more then NASCAR playing god. ALSO there has been debris that was actually ON the track in plain view and NASCAR hasnt thrown the caution and people HAVE gotten flat tires.
