Elven-smiths of Eregion were assisted in their search and thirst for knowledge and craftsmanship by Sauron, who at that time was fair to look at, was a good liar and by many was trusted. He in turn learned the secrets of Ring making, which we know he would turn to evil. The Rings, depending on which, gave different powers or gifts to the wearer (foresight, protection etc), but the Elven Rings gave long life and were designed specifically to build and heal and preserve, not overpower.

Celebrimbor who was the chief smithy, made the Elven Rings (Vilya, Nenya and Narya) unbeknownst to Sauron who never touched or saw them. Sauron had a hand in the ones given Men and Dwarves (excepting the chief Dwarf Ring), and all of these he meant to have supreme power over when years later he crafted the One Ring, the Ruling Ring of power (One Ring to rule them all).

So,the One was evil incarnate, literally. The Elven Rings were created only for good. The chief Dwarf Ring was reportedly a direct gift from the Elves, but the other were tainted by Sauron. The Nine given to men were Sauronized as well, and those who took them became the Nazgul/Black Riders.

  • Why did you choose to do a story board of something you know nothing about?

Look at it this way. Sauron gave the race of men rings of power and these men eventually became Ring Wraths. Does that sound like a good or bad thing to you? Maybe next homework assignment you’ll research a bit better and not wait until the last minute to do it.

  • very humorous and exciting satire! it is good on occasion to allow off ur steam with the aid of comedian writing. the names of the videos have been great, esp cribs 🙂 as between the minorities u look ranting against, i will would desire to agree that LOTR did no longer signify its viewership in any respect. of direction, the time that it grow to be written, it grow to be okay to have the good adult adult males be from the west and the undesirable adult adult males from the east (it is interior the script). the mssg isn’t diffused right here. LOTR grow to be politically ok in this section, yet ‘the ‘ truly slashed its way with the aid of a working laptop or laptop minefield. with any luck we wont see greater of ‘the ‘ varieties of flicks.

  • During the Second Age Sauron was disguised as Lord of Gifts (Annatar) and went to the Elves of Eregion. While there he taught them how to forge magic rings so they made the seven for the Darwfs and the nine for the Humans. The three for the elves were made by the elf Celebrimobor himself so whe Sauron went back to Mordor and forged the One Ring in Mount Doom that would open the thoughts and wills of the wearers of the nine and seven the elves were uneffected. When Sauron put the ring on and said Black Speech:

    ”Ash nazg durbatulĂ»k,

    Ash nazg gimbatul,

    Ash nazg thrakatulûk

    Agh burzum-ishi krimpatul.”

    English:

”One Ring to rule them all,

    One Ring to find them,

One Ring to bring them all,

And in the darkness bind them.”

the elves realised what Sauron was up to and hid their three rings without wearing them. He distroyed their city Eregion and found the Nine and Seven, but not the Three.

The entire epigraph for all rings that isn’t inscribed on the one ring is:

”Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky,

Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,

Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die,

One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne,

In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie,

One ring to rule them all, one ring to find them,

One ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them

In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.”

~epigraph to The Lord of the Rings

So not including the three that the elves made by themselves the rings are evil made by Sauron to control the other races.

  • If you watch the film, at the beginning it explains how the rings were given as gifts to three elves, nine men, and seven dwarves, but the rings filled them with greed and evil. Some of them could resist the rings, e.g the elves, but the men couldn’t ( they turned into the black riders that hunted for the one ring)

The rings were all controlled by the one ring so I think they were made for evil.

  • Sauron never touched the elf rings. Those were made by elves for good.

All of the other rings were made for selfish purposes with Sauron’s help.

Only Sauron’s ring was made by him alone for purely evil purposes.

  • Let’s put it this way: they were created by the evil lord Sauron.

    So take a wild guess.

  • They were made for good against the evil
