. Homework consumes time. You could use that time to participate in extracurricular activities or volunteer for your community.
. Homework does not make you smarter. The intention of homework is to create good work habits for your future. If you already have that attribute, it is simply a waste of time because you aren’t learning anything new.
. Homework is stressful. If your schedule is flogged with homework on top of studying and other activities, it causes stress which is unhealthy in your lifestyle.
It’s all about BALANCE.
.) Children and teens spend – hours a day in school, the equivalant of a full-time job. If those hours were used effectively for learning, then homework wouldn’t even exist.
.) A lot of homework is busy work, with little educational value. If you’re answering questions in a history book, for example, you’re looking up names and dates, writing them down, and instantly forgetting them because they don’t have practical use in life. Don’t get me wrong; we need to learn history. But do we need to memorize dates when we can easily look them up on google?
.) Teenagers who spend most or all of their time studying are prematurely facing the stress of adulthood. Some adults work all the time because they have to, in order to feed their children, and others work all the time because they are workaholics who have trouble relaxing and enjoying themselves. And why are these adults workaholics? It’s partially because they were over-worked as children.

.)Most students get too stressed out and just want to relax when they get home. Plus, they don’t actually try on their homework.
.) hours in school already takes away from family time, but homework takes more time away from family, especially if the student has after school activities along with it.
. Because it’s cruel to make a student work longer hours than an adult. You get home from school, you’re tired and you just want to relax. But now you have to do even more work.
. Because it gives the Asians an advantage – they love homework.

Students have other things that interest them. Look up a ted talk video on youtube about motivation.
They need time for exercise, especially with the decreasing life expectancy.
It’s important for students to be able to develop life relationships skills… More useful than a mindless worksheet.
exactly what he said ur social life will go down if the more homework u get cuz u dont have time to hang out with ur friends plus have of tthe class never does it so what is the point of giving more homework
If working adults bring home hours of more paper work to do , they are called work aholics which is bad. Whats different for a teen?
