What causes homosexuality?

  • Some propose it’s caused by genetics, others theorize that it’s caused by environmental factors. Some claim it’s a choice. Truth be told, we don’t really know. Cheers.
  • I actually heard a theory about gay men not too long ago that seems pretty interesting. Females are born with a hormone that makes them physically attracted to men. This causes women to want to mate with men and thus, propagates the species. Apparently, sometimes this hormone is found in men as well.

This would explain why, in some studies, they’ve shown that lesbian women are still attracted to men, but gay men are not attracted to women.

Just a random theory. It’s interesting though!

FYI–homosexuality is found throughout the animal kingdom (penguins, giraffe and ducks are some notable ones)…so it’d be interesting to see if that hormone theory would hold up with other species.

  • People are both born that way and/or make that personal choice.

Men can be born that way having more estrogen than a normal man and cause them to be more feminine.

Women can be born with too much testosterone and make them more manly.

Women can look like girls on the outside – but are men on the inside with testicles and everything. They are completely unaware.

What difference does it make? homosexuality isn’t a disease.

  • Although people may just be born that way, some say genetics have a role. If your sister or brother is homosexual then you have a reported increased 50% chance of being homosexual too.
