Which course that has a better Job options? BS Biology or BS Chemistry?

I am an incoming 1st year Biology student in UST and I am wondering if it is worth it to have a Bachelor’s degree in Biology than a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry?

I searched the internet on what jobs can I get with a BS Biology degree and it didn’t go well as I expected. Most of the people who take the same course as mine are still regretting that they take BS Biology because as of now their only jobs are cleaning lab rat cages and cleaning lab apparatuses. Some of them are just cashiers.

When i searched the internet on what jobs can I get with a BS Chemistry degree and well it is more decent. Most people who graduated with a BS Chemistry degree became lab technician and sometimes employed by companies. So I wonder if it is worth it to continue taking a BS Biology degree than shifting to a BS Chemistry degree. I found Biology easy and I also found Chemistry fun and exciting so I don’t have any problem shifting courses between the two.

I am interested in lab work and research so I wonder if there are decent paying laboratory job here in the NCR area. I am ok with High School teaching but I just want it as a temporary job until I i have enough money to support myself in Graduate School.

I am also planning on taking Masters Degree, or if possible even a Doctorate degree, after I earned my Bachelor’s Degree so that I can apply for a higher paying jobs, but I still want to have a peace of mind if it didn’t go as I planned. Please answer because this is a great dilemma that i am facing right now and i don’t want to regret my decision in the future.

Thank you in advance. =)

I have a B.S. in Biology and I would definitely recommend to you that you major in Biochemistry but if you still really enjoy Biology, double major in it or have it as your minor. No matter what anyone tells you that could possibly influence your decision, just know this; YOU CANNOT FIND OR GET A JOB WITH ONLY A B.S.
