so ive known this guy for around a year now and hes in my drama class at school. IM 15, hes 16 btw, but he normally acts as if i dont exist. I have two mates who are good friends with him. So i got a new number the other day and i put it on fb so my mates could see it but hes not a mate on fb. SO i got a text a few days ago from him saying hi its … hows you x. Ever since then hes started making eye contact quite a lot and texting me. Ive asked his mates and one of the said that he quite likes me and the other one has said that he probably doesnt even know i exist.
I think im over reacting and over analysing too much but my mates say that he likes me. I like him back but i dont want to make a fool out of myself trying with this guy if there is no hope at all. help pleasE?

BE PATIENT keep replying to his texts etc, he will ask you to be more than
a friend in time he’s probably shy/scared too, take it slow DON’T push or you
will chase him away, just be friends, text him, smile back at him, give eye
contact and leave it up to him, try to remember that boys are slower than girls
to make up their minds about things, especially gf, that way if nothing happens
you won’t be embarrassed, your still just friends with him.
