oh I did this to my friend, Well for one he those not know you like him and for all he knows your a close friend of his. He probably thinks you are crushing on some other guy so why bother. You better give him some signals or tell him. He will continue this until he knows how you fell about him
it means he thinks of you as only a friend and is not interested in you anymore than a sister or brother who he goes to for advise.
