Social roles are the part people play as members of a social group you are a part of, like men vs women. They differ depending on our culture, and most people draw lines as to what is accepted and what is not, along the same lines as right from wrong. Social Norms are unwritten rules about how to behave or not, they are something we learn from our peers and surroundings.
