What does your birthday mean to you?

Is it something you see as special or is it just another day?

Would you be upset if you had no one to spend your birthday with or everyone forgot?

  • I love birthday celebrations especially mine. I look at each year I get older as another plus that I am living the artist life. It’s a challenge to be an artist and survive in a free lifestyle but even when I worked as an art director or had a greeting card company or ad agency I still did my art. Now I pretty much paint and edit a film I’m working on. However, I tried for many years to make a Winter party a success but it usually snowed hard on my birthday and I had to be prepared for the worst. Now that’s improved tremendously, I spend Winters in Mexico and already have a plan for my birthday celebration. Getting older for me is just getting wiser. I stay in good health and respect life.

  • I see it as a special day (except my last birthday I was pregnant and couldn’t celebrate how I usually would, which is getting drunk.) But if everyone forgot my birthday, I think I’d be pretty devastated 🙁

I usually have at least one friend to spend my birthday with.

Source(s): I’ve had 18 birthdays, all very good ones.

  • I don’t like fuss and I don’t like alot of attention so I wouldn’t really mind is people forgot or if I couldn’t spend time with everyone, though I think it would be different with close relatives.

  • i see it as just another day. you get older everyday, so i don’t think that it is really that special. although i do like it when someone says happy birthday, because it shows that they care enough to remember.

  • it used to be all happy, but my last one (October 15th) it was ehh, i mean it was just another day. yeah i turned 14, but it isn’t much of a big deal any more.
