For the NBA elite shooters like Curry, Durant, Allen, etc. what is the furthest shot they could take and still reasonably expect it to go in a decent percentage of the time? The 3 point line is 23ft 9in and I see guys take and make shots multiple feet behind that even (which to me is insanity I’d be happy just to get rim lol).

I would say 55 feet at the most. Probably like 40-45 feet for most superstar players and maybe 35 for bench players.
Used to play at a gym where some D-League and DIII college players played pick up ball and they would practice shots from 35-40 feet and 1 guy even told me that he only practiced 3s from 40 feet because it made shooting 3s at the line 10 times easier in game.
