I’ve been dreaming about attending the University of Southern California for years, and my parents have really wanted me there, too. I worked hard to keep my grades up, and I got accepted into their really competitive theater program. I’ve achieved my dream… but I got almost no financial aid, and to attend my parents are going to have to take out a lot of money in loans. I freaked out about it a little this morning, and my parents told me that they were % supportive of me going to USC and they weren’t worried about taking out the loans. I actually got yelled at for even thinking about giving up on my dream. I still feel apprehensive, though. Can I do this to my family? Or should I go to another school that’s more affordable?
