What's a good potty chair for a boy.?

My 15 month old son is showing intrest in using the potty. I have a potty my friend gave me but I don’t like it. It has too many pieces and he ends up taking it apart. Plus it seems like it will be hard to clean. He knows what pee means. When I tell him I have to pee he runs to the toilet and says pee and then flushs it for me. He also has been sitting on his potty lately with his clothes on and saying pee. He don’t like to sit on it with his diaper off so I don’t push it. But sometimes when I pull his diaper off he will squat down and pee on the floor and say pee. So he knows what it means but hasn’t used the potty yet. I am looking for a good potty chair for a boy that is simple. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you Laura

  • It’s called a bathroom toilet. Better to start them out on it than getting a potty chair or potty seat. Studies have shown that children trained on potty seats/chairs tend to wet and soil themselves more often in school because they are confronted with something they are not used to…the dreaded toilet. They don’t know how to use a regular toilet, don’t know how to balance themselves and it’s so much bigger and scares some. So instead of going on the toilet they go in their pants. Best thing to do is get them used to a toilet right off the bat. Let them learn how to balance themselves because schools/preschools/daycares don’t equip their bathrooms with potty seats/chairs.

  • i got an elmo potty seat from toys r us for my boy which just sits on the regular toilet seat. It comes with a splash guard for boys and has worked a lot better then the regular potty chair. My guy’s pretty big for his age so it’s more comfortable to sit on the regular toilet so his legs have more room. It’s perfect for all toilets and toddlers. I really wish I would have gotten that first but the other potty chair is being used as a step stool so it wasn’t a total loss. It’s also very handy because it can travel easily if you’re training outside the home too and worry bout your kid fallin in some nasty public toilet.

  • We got the once upon a potty boy potty and it is great. It is one piece and low to the ground so they can get on by themselves and the “splash guard” is built right in! There was another one advertised on Amazon ( where we got ours) that was a clear potty. I wish I had got one of them too!

  • no there is isnt however the proper potty is babybjorn, because of the fact for boys the pee shield is everlasting while everyother type is detachable and very frustation for boys while the take a seat to pee. you additionally can get the single that is going over the bathroom, yet toddlers are afraid they’ll fall off. whwn my son became achieved he desire to offload it in the bathroom himself and he gets to flush it became an exciting time for him, there is not any would desire to tension him to do it , he likes to do it as his advantages for going potty.

  • Target sells a singing potty chair, a throne. Works awesome, encourages toilet training and the bucket underneath pulls straight out so it’s easy cleaning. It’s the fisher price royal stepstool potty.

  • I like the without the pitty chair method, less messy. Get a stool and a seat cover fit for a little one and put it right on the big potty.
