whats the best foundation to cover-up acne?

LOL, you sound exactly like my sister and I will tell you what she uses. It`s called Cargo and it is amazing! It covers absolutely everything like a dream and you can`t even tell she has acne. It`s a little pricey at thirty two dollars, but totally worth it. You can buy at Sephora or Ulta. No drugstore foundation works this good! Highly recommended product! She also uses Maybelline Dream Matte powder on top of the foundation because it absorbs oil and keeps her skin looking matte. Also she likes to use Clean and Clear oil blotting sheets from Wal-Mart and drugstores. They are awesome and instantly absorb oil without interferring with your makeup. Hope I helped!

I have the same problem I’m pregos and so acne is really bad right now. Liquid foundation has a lot of chemicals that clog ur pores. I’m using % mineral makeup its around bucks for a mnth supply. Its called Royale I got it a couple weeks ago and it works pretty doesn’t feel cakey at all. Good luck.

Hey girl heyyy. My recommendation for foundation to cover up as a drugstore brand would be Revlon Colorstay for Oily Combination Skin. I have really oily skin and all other foundations while I was trying to get rid of acne would literally just melt off my face and be really disgusting in like two hours, but this one is really really good. Like, its almost amazing. Add any kind of powder over the top and you will be good to go. I have really oily skin as well and I use to have lots of acne but this definitely covered it up while I was clearing up.

Some tips about acne: foundation might not be the best for your skin, but really the biggest deal is making sure you get ALL of it off at the end of the day and keeping your face and skin clean. Use a makeup remover to get the ColorStay off because this foundation really STAYS on your face unless you really cleanse your face. The only cure for acne I have found is good health. Acne is something that starts from the inside, from what you eat, how you exercise, the pollution from the outside that makes its way inside your body, hormones, stress etc. Drinking lots of water (and I mean LOOTTS OF WATER. You should need to pee every two hours at least lol) and eating vitamin/nutrient/antioxidant rich foods as well as exercise literally cured my acne in two to three days. I barely ever break out now, and I can wear my foundation –any foundation–without being worried that its going to break me out or get greasy and oily and yucky. So work on being fit and healthy first. It wont just benefit your skin (even, blemish free, supple), but your body (you’ll look hotter and have more energy) and your hair (glossier, stronger, healthier).

Foundation won’t cover up acne. All foundation does is even out your skin tone. You need a concealer. and as for the foundation melting off your face. You are using the wrong type of foundation. You need a foundation for oily skin types.

While it took little less than two months for me to really see a difference, my acne, blackheads and whole lot of other skin problems I had such as eczema had completely cleared! It was totally amazing…

Well use concealer before you use your foundation. I heard liquid foundation covers up blemishes much better than cream foundations.

dont use foundations!

it will cause more acne because foundations clog up your pores.

if anything i would recommend bare minerals.

i use that and it is the best i would sleep with it and not breakout.

revlone but gosh is it heavy and thick..which is good to cover up and they come in combo oily for those who who have want oily skin..its a pretty good cover up im not a fan since im more of a light makeup person but it did cover up my acne when i did have pimples
