  • The tech is responsible for setting up the equiptment, maintaining it/keeping it clean, possibly other things such as helping in the waiting area etc.

    The ultrasonographer is the person who actually performs the ultrasound and interprets the results, usually a doctor who has specialised in medical imaging.
