When to get a body pillow?

Question didn’t seem to post.

When do you recommend investing in a pillow? I am 6 weeks. I think it would help me sleep and protect my stomach from the puppies! Should I ask for it for Christmas or get it sooner? lol

Thanks!

  • I got one around 9 or 10 weeks, but that is just me. I was worried about sleeping on my stomach and hurting the baby of course…but was also worried about how in the hell I was going to sleep if i couldn’t sleep on my stomach!!!!

I have always been a belly sleeper, always. It took me a few weeks to get used to NOT sleeping on my belly, I am real glad that I started to try different positions before I was uncomfortable on my belly.

My suggestion, start looking for a new position now, if you are a belly sleeper it is hard to get used to sleeping on your side. Don’t get too comfortable on you back either..it is not good for the baby and in just a few short months you will feel like you can’t breath on your back!

  • I want one too!!! I have slept with a regular pillow between my legs when I first found out I was pregnant, to protect my stomach & to help w/ the comfort of all of the weight w/ my stomach, but Im 15 weeks & a regular pillow is not cutting it. I would invest in one now since you will prob put it to good use during your whole pregnancy. I know Target has them for pretty cheap! Im going to get one this weekend hopefully. Best of luck!

  • You could ask for it for Christmas… that would be a good idea…in the mean time if you have extra pillows that could work as well until you do get one

  • Christmas would be a great time to get it, but also anytime, they are very cozy.

  • I used it more towards the end of my pregnancy’s, when sleeping is more difficult
