Country’s that have the most influence on others seem to do so because in achievement or learning a country or individual can go from point A to point D and skip the expense or time of B and C, which is a huge value to those who can not incur the expense. In culture or art or intellectual works, those who produce share, and capitalistic societies push that as a requirement. Any country with any wealth has a larger allotment of time for the “arts” and in a basic way, humans share ideas with humans. America is also the recipient of a HUGE amount of influence from every culture under the sun. Sociology? That is immensely complex and that is what it is all about.
Not many people feel the way you do. People who feel the way you do now are called “couch adventurers”. It is only when you don’t like where you are and what you are doing that you want to look beyond the fence for more options.
