Why is my Betta changing color?

When I bought my fish it was blue and now it’s more of a purple color and the fins turned red.

I have changed him from a bowl into a 5 gallon tank with a filter, thermometer from 80-85F. He has loads of plants and rocks, a small cavern to hide. I feed him pellets and I try to feed him blood worms but he doesn’t seem to like them.

Almost forgot, he has a bubbler and Natural Light because he’s next to my window.

  • It’s body could be reflecting the colors of the decorations in your tank

  • Sounds like to me that the water quality is having an effect on your stock, From the sound to me, it seems your fish is doing better? is it brighter or duller? remember brightness is good. however dullness, and you should keep a close eye out because that’s a sign of sickness.
