Can this cause breathing probs, my landlady sprayed the mold in my unventilated bathroom and ever since I have problems breathing and for the first time use an inhaler.

  • Sounds like a lawsuit to me!!!

  • I’m pretty sure you’re supposed to use bleach to kill mold – at least a brief google search and personal experience would lead me to think that. Probably what happened is the mold started sending out spores shortly before it got killed or there is other mold hiding in your apartment that is.

  • bleach is good 4 a lot of things, but not in your situation.
The better choice is vinegar. It cleans, disinfects, and Kills Mold, without causing breathing probs or other health issues.
For mold, do not dilute it. It will smell strong 4 a short time, but will stop the mold in it’s tracks.
I use pure apple cider vinegar.

  • A weakened Bleach and water solution is a known Mold killer. However, it sounds as if the Landlady may have used straight bleach, and yes that will cause Lung Problems. She should have placed a fan in the room to dissipate the odors before you were allowed to go in there.
There should be a fan installed in the ceiling in that bathroom so the bathroom can have some type of ventilation, and circulation system. Ask the landlady about that.
Vinegar is good for many things, I use it too….however, I do not believe that it will kill the mold spores once and for all. Even the CDC recommends using Bleach to kill many types of things……but not using bleach straight.
